At Hays Behavioral Health, we believe that counseling is a collaborative relationship between you and a professional who is trained to help you identify goals and develop solutions to reduce emotional pain, improve relationships, strengthen interpersonal skills, address mental health concerns, and support you in the challenging work of changing.

How We Make Progress

We all deal with struggle in every day life. Making the initial decision to seek professional support is one of the greatest first steps you can make in changing the course of life. Our team is here to provide safe, confidential, and empathetic care as you take the initial steps toward becoming your most authentic self. Counseling is a collaborative process where we work together to identify behaviors and patterns of coping that may be standing in your way of feeling your best. Our therapy approach uses cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD,, child/adolescent behavioral problems, relational issues, and stress.

CBT is a therapy approach that identifies thoughts and behaviors in order to understand their effect on how we feel. When we challenge and change our thoughts and behaviors, as well as our relationships, environment, and lifestyle, we hope to improve our emotional well-being and personal coping. Dr. Hays’ patients appreciate her compassionate and direct communication style. Contact our office today to schedule your first appointment.
