Laura is a compassionate, and skilled therapist, dedicated to helping young adults navigate the challenges of mental health and personal growth. With a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered approaches, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), she aim's to create a therapeutic environment that is as unique as each client she works with. Laura's approach emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and practical tools that empower clients to overcome challenges and thrive.
Laura received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from St. Edward's University in 2021 and graduated with a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston in 2024. She has experience and specializes working with a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
Laura's passion lies in fostering resilience and helping individuals uncover their strengths to create meaningful change in their lives. She believes in the power of therapy to not only address immediate concerns but also to equip clients with lifelong skills for navigating life's ups and downs. She strives to meet clients where they are, regardless of their developmental stage, and foster a nonjudgmental and safe space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported.
Through her work, she has developed a particular interest in assisting clients in managing life transitions, building emotional regulation, and enhancing self-awareness. By integrating evidence-based strategies with a compassionate and individualized approach, she aims to guide clients toward personal growth and a greater sense of well-being. She is deeply committed to walking alongside her clients as they explore their inner worlds and work toward a future defined by hope, balance, and fulfillment.
